About the Role

As a Senior Practitioner, you will be responsible for overseeing case management and leadership within our residential program. This entails collaborating with Youth Support Workers to develop and implement trauma-informed plans for young women and their children.

A Snapshot of Your Responsibilities
  • You will lead the development and execution of Support and Safety Plans for clients, including children, in close coordination with DCP and clients.
  • Your primary focus will be on providing therapeutic case management services focusing on parenting, mental health, housing, and wellbeing.
  • You will supervise and guide Youth Support Workers, ensuring effective case direction.
  • You will support young people with Moving to Adult Life and Independence (MALI) plans under SPC contracts.
  • Building community links, coordinating services, and advocating for optimal outcomes through multi-agency collaboration are key aspects of this role.
Requirements

We seek candidates with a degree in Social Work or registration progress. Relevant work experience in youth homelessness, mental health, or related fields is also required.

A calm and confident leadership style, combined with strong communication skills, is essential for success in this position.

The ability to manage risk and complexity in a fast-paced environment is crucial.

A valid Working With Children Check and First Aid Certificate, or willingness to obtain them, is necessary.
