Job Description

As a SES Unit Manager, you will be responsible for leading the operational management of an SES unit, ensuring it is equipped to respond effectively to emergency situations.

The SES Unit Manager plays a vital leadership role in managing and maintaining an SES unit, focusing on developing capability to respond to emergency and disaster operations.

  • Lead the development and implementation of strategic plans to enhance the capabilities of the SES unit.
  • Manage equipment maintenance to meet operational response standards.

Key Accountabilities

As part of our ongoing efforts to support frontline services, you will be responsible for:

  • Managing and administering an SES unit in compliance with QFES instructions, directions, and policies.
  • Developing and implementing public relations and education programs that promote community resilience and self-sufficiency in Queensland communities.
