Proposal Leadership Role

We are seeking an experienced Proposal Manager to lead our key proposals and presentations. This role involves providing strategic guidance from pre-RFP positioning through to interview stage, and managing a team of proposal professionals.

About the Position
  • Collaborate with senior leadership and technical teams on priority pursuits, including responses to RFPs and short list interviews.
  • Lead and manage a team that supports our entire organization in developing high-quality proposals.
  • Contribute to the development of strategic direction for proposals and have a solid understanding of our client pipeline, internal business development strategies, capture planning, proposal efforts, and debriefs.
Responsibilities
  • Develop and contribute to writing high-quality proposal sections such as cover letters, past performance, resumes, and approach sections.
  • Analyze debriefs and apply lessons learned to improve the quality of our proposals.
  • Ensure quality control of technical proposals and short list interview presentations.
  • Support debriefs and gathering of client feedback on proposals to ensure continuous improvement.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Journalism, English, Communications, Marketing, or related field.
  • 10+ years of marketing/proposal experience in the A/E/C industry or related field; 3+ years of experience leading a team.
  • APMP certification is a plus.
Key Skills
  • Working knowledge of and interest in the A/E industry.
  • A thorough understanding of effective proposal and presentation best practices.
  • Strong working knowledge of desktop publishing software, graphics programs, word processing programs, spreadsheet management, and presentation software.
  • Working knowledge of Salesforce.
