Claims Resolution Specialist

This role entails managing a portfolio of claims from inception, conducting liability assessments, gathering and analyzing medical and rehabilitation data, evaluating claim value, and negotiating settlements.

  • Manage and negotiate claims, including communication with solicitors or direct claimants by phone, correspondence, and/or attending settlement conferences and hearings
  • Obtain and review medical, financial, investigative, and rehabilitation reports to assist in accurate assessment of individual claims
  • Evaluate legislative compliance timeframes while reviewing medical, financial, investigative, and rehabilitation reports
  • Develop strategies to resolve claims cost-effectively
  • Ensure early access to appropriate rehabilitation for injured claimants to achieve optimal recovery from injuries
  • Negotiate claims settlements with solicitors in line with legislative, regulatory, and procedural guidelines
  • Provide exceptional customer service to stakeholders through compliance with legislation, timely response times, and efficiency in processing
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Proven knowledge and experience in handling CTP or personal injury claims or Law is preferred
  • Tertiary qualifications, including Legal, Allied Health, or Insurance would be advantageous
  • Excellent analytical and technical skills
  • High attention to detail
  • Pro-active and energetic team player
  • Highest professional approach to all aspects of claims handling
  • Excellent verbal communication skills and ability to listen, build rapport, communicate complex information, and negotiate with various internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong administrative and written skills and ability to effectively manage all aspects of each claim while adhering to NSW legislation
  • Strong commitment and high degree of integrity to meet and exceed customer expectations
  • Positive attitude and willingness to contribute to workplace improvement and changes
