We are seeking an experienced Claims Specialist to handle multi-party commercial line Workers Compensation claims of moderate to high exposure and complexity. The successful candidate will deliver a customer-centric claims service by exercising judgment to determine liability, policy verification, and coverage determination.

Job Summary:

The ideal candidate will handle multiple claims files accurately and update data/information in compliance with best practices. They will also exercise judgment to determine liability by gathering and analyzing relevant facts and utilizing applicable law.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage multiple claims files and update data accordingly.
  • Determine liability by gathering and analyzing relevant facts.
  • Develop case strategy and evaluate cases to ensure timely resolution.
  • Establish timely reserves and review cases throughout the claims cycle.
  • Negotiate settlement of claims using established negotiation strategies.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree and 6 or more years of experience in Claims Management area.
  • Juris Doctor and 2 or more years of experience in Claims Management area.
  • Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice with Associate Degree and 6 or more years of experience in Claims Management area.
  • Completion of Zurich Claims Training Program and 6 or more years of experience in Claims Management area.
  • High School Diploma Equivalent and 8 or more years of experience in Claims Management area.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience handling Florida Work Comp Claims or similar jurisdictions.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
