About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Incident Response Specialist to join our team at EnergyAustralia. As a key member of our Security Operations Centre, you will play a critical role in detecting and responding to cyber threats, ensuring the security and integrity of our enterprise systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of cyber incident response specialists in responding to complex cyber threats and threat investigations
  • Collaborate with the Security Operations Centre (SOC) to develop and implement incident response strategies and procedures
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to secure our enterprise systems and analyse advanced attack methodologies
  • Conduct detailed post-incident analysis and provide recommendations for process improvements
  • Drive continuous improvement in detection, analysis, escalation, response, and containment for all cyber incidents/threats
About You

To be successful in this role, you will have a strong background in IT security, with experience in a SOC environment and a proven track record in security incident response. You will also have a tertiary qualification in IT or Computer Science, and relevant certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CISA, or CISSP.

You will have excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment. You will also have a strong understanding of security technologies, including firewalls, VPNs, intrusion prevention systems, and network security monitoring.
