About the Role

This is an exceptional opportunity to showcase your expertise in horticulture as a skilled Gardener. Your primary responsibility will be to maintain and enhance gardens and outdoor spaces, ensuring they are presented to the highest standard.


Key Responsibilities
  • Maintenance and Enhancement: Perform tasks such as planting, weeding, pruning, and watering to ensure the garden's health and appearance.
  • Turf Care: Mow lawns, trim edges, and care for turf areas to maintain their quality and aesthetic appeal.
  • Campus Presentation: Ensure the campus is well-maintained and presented to a high standard, reflecting positively on our organization.
  • Gardening Tasks: Prepare soil, mulch, and plant beds to create visually appealing and thriving garden spaces.
  • Equipment Management: Operate and maintain gardening tools and equipment to optimize efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Safety Protocols: Adhere to safety protocols to ensure a safe work environment for yourself and colleagues.

About You
  • A Certificate II or III in Horticulture or equivalent qualification is required.
  • You must have a Working with Children Check or be willing to obtain one.
  • A Valid Driver's licence (Manual preferred) is necessary for this role.
  • A White Card is also required.
  • Prior experience in gardening is essential, demonstrating your ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • You must be able to lift and carry heavy objects, bend, squat, kneel, and stand for extended periods, showcasing your physical fitness and endurance.
  • You should be willing to work outdoors in various weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, and sunlight, demonstrating your adaptability and resilience.
  • A strong work ethic and commitment to completing tasks efficiently and to the highest standards is crucial for success in this role.
  • You should have a keen eye for detail and pride in your work, ensuring that every aspect of your work meets our high expectations.
