Parks Maintenance Technician Job Summary
Our city's green spaces rely on skilled professionals to maintain their cleanliness, safety, and overall appeal. This role is ideal for individuals who take pride in preserving public areas and delivering exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain buildings, grounds, and parks to the highest standards of quality and efficiency
- Cut and edge grass using precision equipment to create visually appealing landscapes
- Operate hand and power tools safely and efficiently to minimize risk and maximize productivity
- Sweep walks, remove refuse and trash, clean buildings, picnics, restrooms, and camping areas to maintain a clean and healthy environment
- Assist skilled trades such as plumbing, painting, carpentry, and installations to support infrastructure development
- Load and unload heavy materials from trucks and other equipment with ease and caution
Requirements and Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent is required; higher education may be preferred but is not necessary
- At least 3 months of experience in grounds and building maintenance is essential for this role
- Preferred experience in mechanical or equipment repair can be beneficial in performing tasks efficiently
