Compliance Officer Role Summary

Bradken is seeking a highly skilled Compliance Officer to provide essential expertise for the development, implementation, and ongoing improvement of our global compliance framework. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in ensuring that our compliance program and risk management program continue to address appropriate compliance and operational risks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and monitor compliance registers, including gifts, conflicts of interest, competitor contact, and export control screening
  • Provide compliance oversight and guidance to the business
  • Review and develop compliance policies and procedures
  • Monitor and manage whistleblowing hotline concerns
  • Prepare and deliver compliance training
  • Collaborate with internal communications on internal compliance campaigns
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with global cross-functional colleagues

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree required, ideally a law degree but not essential
  • 4+ years of experience in compliance or a related field, ideally in a global company in mining, manufacturing, energy, or a similar industry
  • Strong working knowledge and experience in non-financial services compliance matters, including due diligence of third parties, conflicts of interest, contact with competitors, and anti-bribery and anti-corruption
  • Exceptional skills in drafting policies, standards, and procedures
  • Self-starter with the ability to work flexibly in a hybrid working environment with a strong work ethic and positive attitude
  • Discretion to handle sensitive whistleblowing matters
