Lead Proposals Specialist Role

Job Overview

This is a key position in our organisation responsible for developing documents, interpreting tenders and cost estimates for works, and evaluating opportunities.

  • Must have proven experience with defence writing standards for bids and tenders.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral are essential.
  • Experience in supporting defence bids and proposals is required.
  • Responsibilities include reviewing and interpreting tender documentation, estimating labour, material, and subcontractor costs, liaising with customers and suppliers to clarify technical and commercial requirements, and driving competitive pricing through data-driven analysis.
Key Requirements
  • Qualifications in Engineering, Estimating, or Project Management are highly regarded.
  • Managed multiple priorities in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment.
  • Good understanding of Australian and international engineering/manufacturing standards.
  • A detailed understanding of contracts and how they're created would be beneficial.
  • Experience in preparing and delivering competitive proposals.
  • Candidates must be an Australian Citizen.
  • There is an ITAR compliance aspect to this role.

Applicants should possess a relevant degree, diploma, or certificate from an Australian Tertiary Institution or demonstrated equivalent experience.
