
Nurse Consultant Palliative Care Specialist

We are seeking an experienced nurse practitioner to join our palliative care team as a clinical nurse consultant.
The successful applicant will predominantly be responsible for supporting patients and their families with the wider multidisciplinary palliative care team.
Key Responsibilities- Patient Care and Support
- Undertake ward clinical duties as rostered
- Commitment to improve quality of care;
- Revision of policies as needed;
- Actively participate in quality initiatives and research activities.
- Making conceptual advances;
- Establish valuable external collaborations;
- Supervises and trains registrars, residents, medical students, nursing and allied health staff and participates in other educational activities;
- Participates in hospital-wide educational programs, including affiliated organisation's programs;
- Assists in developing the educational program.
- Membership of relevant professional organisations;
- Expertise recognised locally and nationally;
- Contributes to the Centre's goals by developing and achieving department and divisional goals;
- Works effectively with internal and external stakeholders;
- Participates in strategic planning and development.
