Senior Clinical Specialist

As a Consultant Anaesthetist, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality patient-centred care within the Anaesthetics Department. You'll contribute your clinical expertise to complex cases, support safe and effective care delivery, and help shape the future of anaesthesia through teaching mentoring collaborative practice and professional development.
This position offers opportunities to drive innovation through involvement in clinical audits quality improvement research and ongoing professional growth. You will be responsible for leading inspiring and guiding a multidisciplinary team while contributing to the development of policies procedures and guidelines that promote excellent patient care standards.
The successful candidate will have extensive experience relevant to work in anaesthetics with a proven track record of delivering high-quality consistent and safe care consistent with national safety and quality health service standards.
- Bachelor of Medicine; Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent qualification is required.
- Appropriate specialist qualifications and registrable as a medical practitioner with specialist registration or another qualification defined by SA Medical Officers Award are necessary.
- Experience in supervising teaching undergraduate postgraduate medical staff is expected.
- Extensive clinical experience in anaesthetics is mandatory.
- Qualifications in quality improvement activities are preferred.
