Job Opportunity:

An exciting position has become available for a Work Health and Safety professional with a strong clinical background to lead safety initiatives across healthcare operations.



About the Role:

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing WHS risks, partnering with teams to develop and implement WHS strategies, and providing specialist advice on WHS legislation, infection prevention, manual handling, and hazardous substances.


Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing WHS risks across operations
  • Partnering with teams to review, develop, and implement WHS strategies
  • Providing specialist advice on WHS legislation, infection prevention, manual handling, and hazardous substances

You will also be responsible for supporting accreditation and compliance with safety standards, delivering targeted training and education to staff, monitoring safety performance, and driving continuous improvement.


Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • Qualifications in WHS, Nursing, Allied Health, or related clinical disciplines
  • Extensive experience in a WHS role within a healthcare/clinical setting
  • A strong understanding of safety legislation, infection control, and clinical governance

Additional requirements include:

  • Proven ability to engage and influence stakeholders across all levels
  • Experience with incident management systems and safety data analysis
  • A South Australian Working with Children Check and National Police Clearance (or being willing and eligible to obtain)

About the Position:
