Regional Director APAC

The Regional Director APAC will lead and motivate third party distributors in the assigned region to ensure achievement of specific business targets and develop new business opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and motivate third party distributors in the assigned region to achieve strategic objectives and drive business growth.
  • Collaborate with distributor brand and management teams to drive performance evaluation and growth.
  • Establish strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, particularly APAC distributors, to influence brand strategy alignment and deliver excellence in execution against ambitious growth targets.
  • Motivate distributors through activation platforms developed for international markets.
  • Ensure distributors in the assigned region meet sales and marketing targets.
  • Co-lead with the international marketing team the development of activation toolkits for the whole region, incorporating insights from other regions and producing actionable plug-and-play activation toolkits.
  • Provide accurate and concise information regarding volume, pricing, product mix, competitive activity, and market trends during budget processes.
  • Understand how suggested action plans relate to overall profitability.
  • Identify new growth opportunities and conduct regular field visits.
  • Closure of corporate projects assigned by top management.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 10 years' experience in sales or business development; experience in the spirits industry is a plus.
  • Thorough knowledge of global branding and selling strategies.
  • Academic qualification in Business/Marketing.
  • In-depth understanding of the industry, region, and brands is essential.

The ideal candidate should have:

  • Proven work track record in sales and/or marketing gained preferably in a beverage/wines and spirits company;
  • Strong understanding of the regional spirits industry and brands.
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Excellent presentation skills and experience dealing with middle and upper-level management.
  • Able to handle multiple tasks and prioritize them effectively.
  • Enthusiasm and ambition for career advancement.
  • Self-motivated and able to work individually or as part of a team.
  • Able to work in fast-paced results-oriented environments.
  • Ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines.
  • Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
