The role of the School Counsellor is a critical position within our educational institution, responsible for fostering the emotional and social growth of students.
This key member of our community will work closely with students, staff, and families to provide support and develop strategies for overcoming challenges.
As a dedicated professional, you will be required to manage complex caseloads, collaborate with the Pastoral Care team, and deliver training sessions to enhance the skills of school staff.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide evidence-based interventions with children and young people in individual and group settings
- Carefully manage caseloads with limited supervision and respond effectively in crisis situations
- Develop and deliver professional learning programs to school staff and families
- Collaborate with the Pastoral Care team to provide comprehensive support to students

Requirements:- Current registration with the Psychology Board of Australia or membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers or PACFA/ACA
- Bachelor's degree in Counselling or related field
- Experience working with children and young people, particularly in an educational setting
