Higher Education Professional Experience Supervisor

Job Description
Tertiary supervisors play a vital role in the tertiary supervision component of student professional experience (PEX) placements. As part of this role, you will monitor the progress of teacher education students while they are working at a school to fulfill their professional experience course requirements.
The supervisor will be responsible for monitoring the progress of students and providing support where necessary. This includes arranging visits to schools to discuss student progress with them and their mentor teachers. The supervisor will also observe lessons taught by the student and provide feedback.
This is an opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of teacher education students and contribute to the development of future educators.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Practicing Christian with active church involvement.
- Current NSW Working with Children Check (WWCC).
- Completion of Bachelor's or Master's degree in Teaching.
- Previous teaching experience and supervising teachers in schools or early learning centers.
- Understanding of vocational and higher education in Christian schools and/or early learning centers.
- Australian Professional Standards for Teachers knowledge is desired but not essential.
- Leadership, people, and communication skills.
- Customer service focus.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Attention to detail and commercial awareness.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage time effectively.
