Senior Culinary Leader

We are seeking a passionate and experienced culinary professional to lead our kitchen team. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for setting the kitchen standard and leading a talented team in a fast-paced environment.

This is a dynamic and rewarding role that offers the opportunity to work in a family-friendly bistro with a designated kids play area, offering an extensive modern menu with daily specials. Our venue caters to both children and adults alike, providing a relaxed atmosphere and great service.

Main Responsibilities:
  • To prepare, cook, and serve food with high quality and presentation.
  • To develop menus, specials, and functions that meet customer expectations.
  • To manage food purchases, menu costings, and monthly stocktakes to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.
  • To oversee the receiving, storage, and rotation of food to maintain freshness and quality.
  • To ensure food safety auditing compliance, including temperature checks and regulatory requirements.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • A Certificate 3 or 4 in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent).
  • Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in a fast-paced environment.
  • The ability to lead, motivate, and manage kitchen staff effectively.
  • Demonstrated high-level customer service skills in various hospitality settings.
  • Proficiency in budgeting and controlling food costs.
  • Understanding of current Food Safety Legislation.
  • A willingness to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
