Nuclear Security Specialist - Management & Strategy

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Nuclear Security Specialist to join our team in a management and strategy role. The successful candidate will have a strong background in nuclear security, leadership skills, and experience working with diverse stakeholders.

About the Role:

In this role, you will be responsible for leading a team of security specialists, managing complex security projects, and developing strategic plans to mitigate risks and threats. You will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to build relationships, communicate key messages, and drive business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead a team of security specialists to deliver high-priority projects and initiatives.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to mitigate risks and threats to nuclear security.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including government agencies, industry partners, and community groups.
  • Communicate key messages and updates to stakeholders through various channels, including reports, presentations, and briefings.
  • Drive business outcomes by identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing changes to processes and procedures.
Requirements:
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in a field such as nuclear science, engineering, or security studies.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a nuclear security or related field, preferably in a leadership or management role.
  • Proven track record of delivering high-priority projects and initiatives on time and within budget.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify opportunities for improvement and implement changes to processes and procedures.
