Job Opportunity: Strategic Project Leader

We are seeking a highly experienced project leader to oversee the implementation of our capital program and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing project resources and ensuring effective delivery of strategic programs of work.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement effective capital programs for strategic areas.
  • Deliver strategic programs of work, including documentation, contracts, budgeting, and resource coordination.
  • Collaborate with site engineers and operations managers, design and reliability managers to define project scope and track progress.
  • Engage with stakeholders to deliver programs to agreed milestone dates, including performance standards, team capability, problem analysis, and resolution.
  • Conduct due diligence and feasibility studies, and design equipment and plant installations aligned with project goals.
  • Ensure adherence to business practices, codes of conduct, statutory regulations, and capital process standards.
  • Develop technical specifications and commercial contracts; provide guidance on capital processes and continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements:
  • Tertiary qualification in an engineering discipline, with a minimum of five years' experience in project management within an industrial manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in project management software is essential.
  • Additional qualifications such as postgraduate or industry certifications in project or business management, RPEQ registration, and experience in the sugar industry will be highly regarded.
