Job Title: Operational Team Leader

We are seeking a dedicated and results-driven individual to lead our operational team as an Operational Team Leader. The successful applicant will be responsible for driving team performance, ensuring a safe working environment, and fostering teamwork.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a safe working environment by adhering to and promoting safety rules, guidelines, and work practices.
  • Perform tasks independently and coordinate others with a positive approach that encourages collaboration.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for employees and casual staff, providing support and managing workforce planning and workflow to maximize productivity.
  • Lead the team to meet service expectations by delivering consistent, high-quality work and managing performance of staff.
  • Report safety issues in HIIQA and participate in or assist with OHS investigations and audits.
  • Maintain clear communication, accurate records, and attention to detail.
  • Prepare and lead meetings to ensure effective communication across the site.
  • Identify and escalate behavioral, safety or policy-related concerns.

  • Strong commitment to Safety and Quality.
  • Strong People Skills: A proactive & positive approach to building morale and the ability to set priorities for a team to ensure service levels are achieved.
  • Excellent Communication: Clear written & verbal communication with attention to detail.
  • Excellent problem-solving and trouble-shooting abilities.
  • Familiarity with working knowledge of warehouse operations.
  • Computer Literacy: Competent with relevant systems and tools.
  • Fitness: Able to meet the physical demands and requirements of the role.
