We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technical Specialist to join our team. As a Technical Specialist, you will be responsible for providing technical support on Caterpillar underground coal equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver Longwall equipment presentations, training material, resources, and assessment materials/tools to internal and external customers
  • Provide ongoing client relationship support and education to build knowledge and skill base
  • Actively engage with internal and external stakeholders to build strong relationships to understand training requirements and drive repeat/ongoing business
  • Provide technical advice and support for maintenance activities performed on Caterpillar equipment both planned and unplanned
  • Analyse production performance & downtime, conduct investigations, perform root cause analysis and make recommendations
  • Proactively identify processes that would benefit from improvements and proactively participate in appropriate actions
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Previous experience in developing & delivering training materials
  • Excellent communication, facilitation and presentation skills both written and oral
  • Demonstrated ability to develop effective relationships with key stakeholders
  • Previous experience with underground coal and knowledge of Caterpillar equipment
  • Demonstrated attention to detail, ability to analyse problems and provide appropriate solutions
  • Demonstrated diagnostic skills and fault finding/root cause analysis skills (Desirable)
  • Experience in conducting risk assessments (Desirable)
