Child and Family Therapist

At Yourtown, we're committed to providing services that protect and keep children, young people, and adults at risk free from harm. We're seeking a skilled Child and Family Counsellor to join our team in North Richmond, NSW.
Key Responsibilities- Provide therapeutic and counselling interventions for young people and their families, using a range of therapeutic and counselling modalities.
- Participate in a range of supports, including intake, assessment, workshops, and referrals.
- Participate in case consultations with team members and provide guidance in case reviews.
- Actively liaise with network and local agencies.
- Co-facilitate staff training on mental health and trauma.
- Passion, commitment, and belief in young people.
- Bachelor qualifications in Psychology, Social Work, or Counselling, and at least 3 years' experience working therapeutically with at-risk children, young people, and families.
- Experience using a wide range of modalities, including expressive and creative therapies.
- Strong understanding of trauma and its impacts on development, behaviours, parenting, and attachment.
- Experience in therapeutic life story work is highly desirable.
