Community Mental Health Specialist

About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Community Mental Health Specialist to join our multidisciplinary team. Our specialists provide expert assessment, therapy, and care coordination for individuals navigating mental health challenges in the community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver recovery-focused clinical services, including assessment, care coordination, intervention, liaison, and review as part of a collaborative team.
  • Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments and provide evidence-based interventions for individuals experiencing mental illness.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with consumers, their families, and carers, as well as other stakeholders, to ensure high-quality care delivery.
  • Emphasize a strengths-based approach to support mental health consumers and their families.
Requirements
  • Hold tertiary qualifications and be currently registered with Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency as a Registered Nurse, Occupational Therapist, or Psychologist.
  • Meet eligibility criteria for membership of relevant professional associations for Social Worker, Counsellor, or Welfare Officer.
  • Demonstrate experience in contemporary clinical mental health practice.
  • Display understanding of the NSW Mental Health Act (2007).
