The successful candidate will possess tertiary qualifications in safety, risk management or a related field, as well as at least 3 years of experience in mining, construction or other heavy industries. Strong computer skills, high-level administrative abilities, and the capacity to work effectively in high-pressure environments with competing priorities are essential.

Additionally, the ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent time management skills, be able to build and maintain positive relationships, and uphold confidentiality.

">Main Responsibilities">
  • ">
  • Develop and implement comprehensive safety strategies and systems">
  • Coordinate and manage safety projects to ensure effective execution">
  • Mentor team members, providing regular support, training, and information">
  • Review the Risk Register and implement improvement plans where necessary">
  • Coordinate the Catastrophic Hazard Program to mitigate risks">
  • Ensure timely internal and external reporting requirements are met">
  • Participate in risk management processes and coach staff in best practices">

  • Tertiary qualifications in safety, risk management or a related field">
  • At least 3 years of experience in mining, construction or other heavy industries">
  • A valid driver's license">
  • Auditor qualification is desirable">
  • Training and Assessment Certification is also desirable">
  • Sound knowledge of statutory rules and regulations">
  • Strong computer skills and administrative abilities">
  • Ability to work effectively in high-pressure environments">
