About the Opportunity:

Kinexus, a leading supplier of recruitment solutions to the Defence and Aerospace Sectors, is aiding in the sustained operation of the Naval vessels utilized by the Royal Australian Navy (RAN).

We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Specialist to play a vital role in ensuring that all necessary materials are identified, requisitioned, and delivered on time, ready for issue to production.

Main Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying, requisitioning, and kitting materials and parts essential for maintenance activities, supporting the planning and scheduling processes. This includes conducting receipt inspections, managing goods receipting of materials, and reporting deficiencies, ensuring accurate updates in the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system.

The ideal candidate will also assist in building Task Material Lists for various tasks, raise requisitions for procurement, and support the Project Manager in monitoring progress and addressing urgent part demands.

The incumbent will be required to adhere to WHSE regulations, exercise due diligence in maintaining safety standards, and support the mission of delivering effective asset management.

About You:

To be successful in this role, you will require a qualification in a logistics or maintenance environment, and relevant experience in coordinating parts and materials. A strong understanding of DPN/DSN knowledge, with exposure to sustainment projects, is also essential.

In addition, experience with MILIS and Navy maintenance management processes is crucial. You will need to demonstrate excellent communication skills, ability to build positive relationships across all levels of the business, and operate autonomously, deliver results under pressure, and make sound decisions.
