Job Title: Community Safety Specialist

This role plays a vital part in addressing domestic and family violence within local communities.

  1. Assessing and responding to customers experiencing domestic and family violence, identifying their housing and support needs.
  2. Assisting customers in accessing safe and secure housing through knowledge of local rental markets and housing products.
  3. Providing referrals to specialist homelessness services, including women’s refuges.
  4. Building and maintaining relationships with partner agencies to ensure a rapid response to customer needs.
  5. Participating in team meetings and coordinating responses to designated actions.
  6. Managing information sharing and recording for high-risk cases, adhering to relevant legislation and guidelines.
  7. Enhancing staff capability in responding to domestic and family violence and providing complex case management support.
  8. Fostering a workplace safety culture by ensuring compliance with health and safety policies and practices.
