Forensic Mental Health Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Forensic Mental Health Specialist to join our team. This is a unique opportunity to work in a secure, purpose-built facility and deliver high-impact clinical care in forensic mental health.

The role will involve conducting psychiatric outpatient clinics, leading a multidisciplinary team, involvement in clinical reviews, and supervision of other clinicians. You will have the opportunity to contribute to recovery-focused, trauma-informed care in a secure setting.

Key Features:

  • Flexible work arrangements : 3 days onsite per week, with 1 session per fortnight delivered remotely via telehealth.
  • Onsite support from a full-time Registrar, enhancing clinical collaboration and continuity of care.

About You:

  • Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (RANZCP), or equivalent.
  • Experience in forensic psychiatry is desirable but not essential – training and support provided.
  • Strong interest in multidisciplinary, person-centred care.
  • Willingness to work onsite at a secure correctional facility.
  • Up-to-date immunisations – COVID-19 (x3) and Influenza.
  • Satisfactory Police Check and compliance with Infection Control requirements.
