We are seeking a highly skilled Digital Technology Portfolio Manager to join our team.

About the Role
  • As a key member of our organisation, you will be responsible for facilitating effective agile and lean portfolio governance processes, including objective setting, intake, prioritisation, estimation, and roadmap calibration sessions.
  • You will develop and maintain demand-side reporting and tooling to ensure full traceability of all demand throughout lean portfolio management processes.
  • Additionally, you will build and administer supply-side reporting and tooling to track the department's forecast, planned, and actual budgets, as well as permanent and non-permanent resource supply.
  • Your role will involve establishing a clear link between finance and resource supply and prioritised demand using innovative management reporting to produce actionable insights improving departmental efficiency and supply-side finance, capacity, and delivery strategies.
  • You will create a psychologically-safe culture within the portfolio management governance ensuring attendees from various teams feel comfortable raising questions, concerns, and ideas.
  • Representing the Digital technology department in Sky-wide portfolio and roadmap discussions to synchronise our department's portfolio processes with other teams.
  • Lead and mentor the small portfolio team to implement designed processes effectively and collaboratively, maintaining high morale and enthusiasm.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Hands-on experience establishing and facilitating lean portfolio management processes at scale across complex delivery departments with external dependencies.
  • Creativity in developing and communicating tailored management reporting for different levels up to C-suite summarising supply and demand positions, trends, budget, and resource capacity, and identifying risks, issues, and mitigation ideas.
  • Expertise in portfolio management tooling, including Atlassian suite of tools like Jira and Confluence.
  • Proactive, self-motivated, and detail-oriented, driving teams to rigorously implement high-quality portfolio management processes with excellent collaboration and partner communication.
  • Effective facilitator and negotiator who can navigate complex issues/opportunities in uncertain environments.
  • Collaborative partner developing trusted relationships with key partners in Technology and across the wider business.
  • Exemplary people leader inspiring, coaching, holding themselves and others accountable, and embedding change through inclusive cultures.
  • Able to navigate matrixed organisations with strong communication skills influencing seniority levels from technical engineers to C-suite executives.
