The Grounds Person Lead is a key role in maintaining the highest quality sporting facilities at Blacktown International Sports Park. The successful candidate will provide leadership to an experienced grounds team, working proactively under pressure to meet deadlines and deliver exceptional results.
Job DescriptionThe Grounds Person Lead will be responsible for assisting the Senior Team Leader in delivering year-round maintenance, preparation, and renovation of all turf surfaces at BISP. This includes:
- Maintaining high-standard sporting field preparation and other areas including common reserves and landscaping
- Providing guidance and support to team members to ensure consistent quality and efficiency
The ideal candidate will possess a strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
Required Skills and QualificationsTo be successful in this role, you will need:
- Certificate III in Horticulture (Turf), Sports Turf Management or a related area
- Current Class C driver's licence
- Experience and knowledge of high-standard sporting field preparation and other areas including common reserves and landscaping
In addition, desirable qualifications include:
- Chemical Application Accreditation AQF3 or equivalent
- Ability to work flexible hours and within a team environment
This full-time position offers a competitive salary and benefits package, including:
- A 38-hour working week with Rostered Day Off (RDO) every fortnight
