Parks Management Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled professional to oversee the maintenance and development of our sporting fields, parks, and open spaces.

This position involves directing operational teams, monitoring their completed works, and managing contractors completing programs for the council.

About the Role

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and implementing maintenance programs for sporting fields
  • Transitioning high-use areas for seasonal use
  • Directing operational teams and monitoring their work
  • Managing contractors and overseeing program completion

About You

To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate competency in the following essential areas:

  • Driver's Licence
  • General Construction WHS (White Card)
  • Certificate 3 Turf Management or similar qualification
  • Extensive knowledge of IPM practices
  • Effective Communication - written and oral
  • Experience in park and open space project management (5+ years' experience managing multifaceted sporting venues)
