Lead Transformative Change in Early Childhood Education
The Office for Early Childhood Development is responsible for creating a fairer and better future for all children in South Australia. By implementing the accepted recommendations of the Royal Commission into Early Childhood Education and Care, we aim to improve outcomes for children and support the broader early childhood sector.
We act on government's behalf, working collaboratively with the sector to organise and connect the system, reducing developmental vulnerability. This includes strategies for quality preschool provision for all 3 and 4-year-olds, supporting families during the first 1000 days of a child's life, and implementing a workforce strategy.
About the Role
In this key leadership position, you will lead the regional implementation of South Australia's early childhood initiatives, impacting communities positively and responsibly. As the steward of the early childhood development system, you will have opportunities to shape Local Teams networks, ensuring they meet the unique needs of South Australia's diverse communities.
Reporting to the Assistant Director, Change and Local Partnerships, you will be at the forefront of change, partnering strategically with communities, service providers, and other stakeholders to build a coherent, consistent, and effective change roadmap for South Australia's early childhood reforms.
This role offers:
- Leading transformative initiatives that will have a lasting impact on early childhood education.
- Developing trusted partnerships with stakeholders and communities.
- Engaging in meaningful work that improves outcomes for children and supports the broader early childhood sector in South Australia.
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you'll bring essential skills and qualities, including:
- Highly developed verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills, with exceptional diplomacy and tact.
- Demonstrated expertise in identifying improvement and innovation opportunities, with the ability to develop effective solutions to complex problems.
- A comprehensive understanding of the early childhood education sector.
We Offer
In return for your skills and dedication, we offer:
- Training: An immersive and comprehensive 4-week team training and induction program to set you up for success.
- Remote work: Work flexibly with a high degree of autonomy.
- A robust regional team of Early Childhood Partners possessing mutual sector and industry knowledge.
- Purpose: Fulfilment driving key reforms as a leader within the sector and services directly and frequently.
- Sector impact: Use your early childhood education and care, and leadership expertise to benefit South Australia in a dynamic and impactful career opportunity.
Become an integral part of our team and contribute to shaping the future of early childhood education in South Australia
