Software Engineer Role

We are looking for a skilled AS400 RPG Programmer to join our IT team and support the continued development and maintenance of our systems.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced RPG programmer with strong solution development skills. This role will also provide the right candidate with an opportunity to take their career to the next level through project related work including interfacing and data conversions as we gradually transition our RPG system across to SAP.

You will take ownership of designing, developing, testing, and maintaining applications on the iSeries (AS/400) platform using RPG IV, ILE, and related technologies. Your expertise in iSeries systems, proficiency in modern RPG programming, and commitment to building efficient, scalable, and dependable applications will be key to your success in this role.

As a successful candidate, you will have 5 years plus proven experience in RPG development with strong expertise in RPG programming, experience within a manufacturing and/or sales environment, SQL experience, a disciplined approach to providing clearly documented code, and experience in supporting, diagnosing, modifying and testing custom applications.

  • A clear communicator who can explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
