About the Role

We are seeking a HSE Specialist to join our team and provide Health, Safety, and Environmental support for the Western Ridge Crusher Project.

This is a key member role in the HSE Functional Services team, requiring strong collaboration with project delivery teams and stakeholders to ensure effective HSE outcomes.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Become a capability builder within WA Major Projects leaders to enable them to create a desired HSE culture.
  • Ensure provision of technical expertise and deliverables for environment, health, hygiene, and safety requirements.
  • Deliver coaching for line management on quality and effectiveness of HSE risk assessments.
  • Work closely with the project delivery team to implement HSE requirements.
  • Support embedment of the BHP field leadership program throughout the project.
  • Develop and deliver relevant HSE content for upskilling project owner's teams and contractor personnel.
  • Facilitate communication between workgroups to ensure consistency in HSE systems.

Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you must have:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Health and Safety or a related field.
  • A proven passion for HSE and building a culture of care.
  • Strong communication and engagement skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead change and influence different levels of leadership.
  • Experience influencing and developing relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
