At Ignite, we are seeking a highly skilled Claims Department Manager to lead our team of claims assessors. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for ensuring the Claims Department delivers exceptional performance by providing leadership, coaching, and development opportunities.

This is a challenging role that requires a strong leader who can motivate and empower their team to achieve service levels and improvements against set targets. You will be responsible for implementing process improvements and embedding a high-performance mindset, culture, and framework within the team.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record of meeting KPIs, with experience in complex claims and problem-solving. They will be able to use initiative to help achieve team objectives and demonstrate strong written and oral communication skills. The ability to lead well under pressure and manage various tasks concurrently is also essential.

We are looking for someone with a minimum of 3 years' experience leading a large team and knowledge and understanding of insurance policies and insurance law. Resilience, problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage stakeholder expectations are also essential.

In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Managing and developing the Claims Assessors team to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to deliver exceptional results;
  • Implementing process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs;
  • Embedding a high-performance mindset, culture, and framework within the team;
  • Maintaining compliance with relevant legislation and internal guidelines;
  • Achieving annual Financial, Customer, Operational, and Quality Assurance, Risk and Technical Targets.

We offer a competitive salary of $85,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience, as well as a range of benefits including health insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off.
