This is a dynamic opportunity to drive lived experience forward in our organization. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring the voice of lived experience is central to our work.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work closely with our Family Liaison Practitioner to support families and their loved ones through investigations into patient safety issues or complaints.
  • Manage family interactions and liaise with investigating officers to ensure respectful and professional treatment.
  • Embed lived experience into feedback and quality improvement processes.
  • Influence patient, service user, and carer voices in the Chief Nursing Officer's portfolio and Trust strategies.

Requirements
  • Degree level education or equivalent experience.
  • Ongoing professional development in relevant areas.
  • Training in mental health, learning disabilities, or autism.
  • Quality Improvement qualification.
  • Accessible information training (e.g., easy read, Makaton).

You will have the following skills:

  • Influencing policy through lived experience and knowledge.
  • Building relationships and facilitating co-produced outcomes.
  • Organizational and analytical skills.
  • Reporting and statistical data interpretation.
  • Proficiency with word processing, databases, spreadsheets.
  • Flexibility and adaptability.
  • Working under pressure and meeting deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Empathy and reassurance abilities.
  • Computer literacy (Power Point, Excel, SPSS).
  • Knowledge of NHS feedback and complaints processes.
