Distinguished Senior Nurse Leader

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Clinical Supervisor at one of our homes. As a key member of the management team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality care and services to our residents.
- Job Description:
We are looking for an experienced Registered Nurse to lead our nursing team and provide clinical leadership in the provision of quality care for our residents. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of current best practice guidelines and be confident in supporting clinical and operational guidance on care delivery.
You will work closely with our multidisciplinary team to ensure that all residents have current care plans developed in consultation with residents, families, and the team. You will also coordinate the development of technical nursing care plans and provide leadership in the management of staff supervision and delegation of care.
Your Responsibilities and Duties:
- Provide clinical leadership in the provision of quality care for residents
- Work in collaboration to ensure that all residents have current care plans developed in consultation with residents, families, and the multidisciplinary team
- Coordinate the development of technical nursing care plans e.g. catheter management, palliative care, infection control
- Manage changing care needs of residents as assessed and/or raise issues at meetings related to care needs and oversee implementation of recommendations
- Provide leadership in the management of staff supervision and delegation of care
- Allocate staff according to resident care requirements and staff skill mix
- Maintain documentation as required for individual resident's and for the operations of the home
Your Skills and Qualifications:
- Current AHPRA Registration - Registered Nurse Division 1 - Essential
- Sound Knowledge of the Aged Care Standards
- Knowledge and understanding of the special needs of older people and multiple comorbidities
- Experience in a senior lead role, responsible for staff management
- Experience working with clients with challenging behaviour
- Experience in the assessment and management of changes in clinical needs of older people
