Support Worker for People with Disabilities

We are a support organization dedicated to empowering individuals with disabilities to live fulfilling lives. Our mission is to provide high-quality services that enable people of all ages and abilities to achieve their goals and contribute positively to the community.

Our ideal candidate will have strong relationship-building skills, be passionate about making a difference, and possess clear English communication skills. Experience working with dementia and other complex disabilities is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build rapport and collaborate effectively with staff, management, participants, and their families.
  • Assist participants in achieving their goals and empower them to develop new skills.
  • Provide regular and professional support in line with participants' plans, needs, and desires.
  • Support participants in accessing social and community activities, promoting a healthy lifestyle.
  • Implement strategies to enhance participants' skills and explore opportunities to help them achieve their goals.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Certificate III in Individual Support or equivalent qualification (mandatory).
  • Current First Aid Level 2 Certificate (mandatory).
  • National Police Check (mandatory).
  • Working with Children's Check (mandatory).
  • Current Australian Driver's License (mandatory).
  • Covid-19 Vaccination Certificate (mandatory).
