About the role

Selectability is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Youth Care Professional to join our team.

Our residential program provides accommodation and intensive support to children and young people with various needs.

As a Youth Care Professional, you will play a vital role in supporting our young people to thrive. You will bring a genuine passion and commitment to making a positive impact in their lives.

Children and young people may come with complex needs, and Selectability strives to promote consistent and stable teams to support their recovery.

About You

  • You must possess clear and effective communication skills.
  • You should demonstrate computer literacy and accuracy in record management.
  • You are expected to always follow policies and procedures.
  • You should be able to work with culturally and linguistically diverse communities and individuals.
  • You are flexible to work across a 24/7 roster.

Role Requirements

  • You must have a minimum of Cert IV qualification recognized under the child safety minimum qualification standards, or be willing to actively study.
  • You should possess certification in Hope and Healing for residential care (able to obtain).
  • You require a current minimum P1 'C' class Queensland driver's license.
  • You need a currently registered, roadworthy, and fully comprehensive insured vehicle.
  • You should have first Aid and CPR certificates (able to obtain).
  • You require a Positive Notice Working with Children (blue card) (able to obtain).
  • You need NDIS Worker Screening Clearance (able to obtain).
  • You should have completed NDIS Worker Orientation Module 'Quality, Safety & You'.

Earnings Estimate: Based on a 38-hour workweek and assuming 40 weeks of work per year, your estimated annual earnings would be approximately $36,550 before taxes. After deducting income tax and other deductions, your take-home pay could be around $26,400 annually.
