Job Title

Lead HVAC Technician and Project Manager

Overview

This role is responsible for leading the installation and management of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems at a 4,400-acre facility with approximately 687,000 square feet of mission and support space.

The successful candidate will be a seasoned HVAC technician with supervisory experience, able to lead a team of technicians in providing high-quality services while ensuring safety compliance and meeting contract requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and oversight to ensure that all HVAC services meet contract requirements, design specifications, schedules, cost budgets, and quality standards.
  • Develop and implement organizational structures and processes to effectively execute HVAC services.
  • Manage and coordinate the work of HVAC technicians to meet project objectives and deadlines.
  • Monitor progress, advise on status, issues, risks, and cost factors of ongoing scope, and continuously evaluate and improve processes and procedures.
  • Oversee safety orientations, indoctrinations, and crew safety; coach to improve safety practices.
  • Monitor crew structure, sizing, mix, and wage regulation compliance.
  • Review and monitor cost and man-hour budgets for HVAC installation and adjust as needed to stay within limits.
  • Develop resource plans to meet project needs and allocate resources effectively.
  • Maintain quality control measures for installations and repairs.
  • Facilitate clear communication within the team and with other project stakeholders.
  • Identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to boost efficiency and effectiveness.

Requirements

  • Must be a US or Australian citizen.
  • Must have a US TS/SCI Clearance w/ Poly, or an Australian PV clearance.
  • Minimum seven years of HVAC technician experience.
  • Minimum three years of supervisory experience.
  • Journeyman or Master HVAC License, or Australian equivalent.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Attention to detail; precision to ensure high-quality service and safety compliance.
  • Adaptability to changing conditions, technologies, and requirements.
  • Decision-making ability to resolve issues quickly under pressure.
