Engineering Designer Position

Our organization is seeking a highly skilled Engineering Designer to join our team.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Civil Engineering and excellent technical skills, with the ability to develop technically accurate and high-quality deliverables using AutoDesk Civil 3D, ArcGIS, and other relevant software programs.

The selected individual will work closely with a Professional Engineer to develop stormwater management, erosion and sediment control, and construction plans, as well as coordinate the preparation of advanced multi-discipline drawing sets for assigned projects.

In addition to technical skills, we are looking for an individual who possesses strong independent problem-solving, teamwork, and communication skills. Proficiency in AutoDesk Civil 3D is required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop technically accurate and high-quality deliverables using AutoDesk Civil 3D, ArcGIS, and other relevant software programs.
  • Aid in the development of stormwater management, erosion and sediment control, and construction plans under the direction of a Professional Engineer.
  • Coordinate the preparation of advanced multi-discipline drawing sets for assigned projects.
  • Utilize quality assurance and quality control processes to improve the quality of deliverables and reduce design errors and omissions.
  • Research, review, interpret, and understand written design standards, regulations, code compliance, and permit requirements and apply them to design projects.
  • Assist with design calculations, calculate quantities, review technical specifications, and prepare cost estimates.

Requirements:

  • Education: Associates or Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or other related field.
  • Experience: Minimum four (4) years' experience.

Qualifications:

  • Possess strong independent problem-solving, teamwork, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in AutoDesk Civil 3D required.
