Technical Architect – e-Trading

This role is a senior leadership position within our digital platform team. As a Principal Engineer, you will be responsible for shaping the future of our electronic trading systems.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams to design and deliver innovative solutions that enhance market competitiveness and operational resilience.

  • Develop and implement scalable, low-latency systems that support real-time pricing, negotiation, and trade execution across dealer-to-dealer and dealer-to-client markets.

  • Collaborate with trading desks, quant teams, and product owners to deliver solutions that meet business requirements and drive strategic growth.

  • Lead the architecture and development of new features and capabilities to improve system performance, reliability, and security.

  • Mentor and guide junior engineers to develop their technical skills and expertise.

Key Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Deep expertise in Java (8/17), Spring Boot, and distributed systems architecture.

  • Experience with IRS market platforms such as Tradeweb and MarkitWire.

  • Strong understanding of IRS instruments, pricing conventions, and swap templates.

  • Familiarity with AWS services (EC2, S3, Redis, SNS, SQS), Kafka/EventHub, DevSecOps/CI/CD technologies, and modern SRE technology.

  • Knowledge of quant libraries and risk analytics integration.

  • SSL standard for secure encrypted communications.
