Nurse Researcher in Rheumatology at Austin Health

About the Role
A highly motivated and enthusiastic Nurse Researcher is sought to join the Department of Rheumatology at Austin Health. The successful candidate will be involved in conducting research studies, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and contributing to the advancement of patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Employ an innovative and flexible approach to nominated research projects.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of clinical trial protocols and ensure accurate completion of case reports and other study documentation.
- Liaise effectively with team members, data managers, and lead research sites.
- Screen hospital patients for eligibility and maintain accurate records of informed consent.
- Promote the vision and goals of Austin Health through presentation of research project progress reports and findings.
Requirements
- Registered Nurse - Nurses Board of Victoria
- Graduate Qualification in Nursing or equivalent
- Substantial clinical experience in Rheumatology Nursing
- Commitment to quality, best practice, and environmental safety
- Knowledge of legal and ethical requirements
- Demonstrated knowledge of professional standards
- Ability to communicate effectively in both written and verbal form
- Patient/customer focused approach to care delivery
- Ability to problem solve in a variety of situations
- Ability to be flexible
- Ability to liaise effectively with multidisciplinary teams, patients, and their relatives
