About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Financial Officer to join our NSW Executive Team at St Vincent's Health Australia. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for providing strategic financial guidance and leadership to our NSW Private Hospitals, The Mater Hospital Sydney, and St Vincent's Private Community Hospital Griffith.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record of leading finance and support services teams, providing financial analysis and recommendations, and partnering with department heads to craft budgets and drive financial performance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Build and maintain relationships with St Vincent's leaders to foster a partnership approach and ensure alignment between hospital operations and the finance function.
  • Develop and implement a collaborative and robust budgeting and forecasting process to achieve financial objectives.
  • Advance appropriate systems and structures to ensure the provision of robust and relevant financial advice, support, and regular financial reporting to staff.
  • Deliver against annually agreed financial and operational performance targets.
  • Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture, promote professional development, and ensure the team's alignment with organisational goals.
  • Ensure optimal structures and processes are in place for achievement of financial improvement initiatives and maintain a commitment to continuous improvement and innovation.
  • Implement and ensure compliance with divisional and group-wide financial policies and procedures.
  • Lead and manage the day-to-day activities of direct reports, particularly by fostering a high-performance operating environment and providing mentorship to direct reports and future leaders.
