Remote Dental Healthcare Specialist

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated dental assistant to join our team. As a dental healthcare specialist, you will provide treatment to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people in remote NT communities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide clinical support to dentists in on-site clinics, working collaboratively with Aboriginal Health Practitioners, General Practitioners, nurses, and support staff.
  • Participate in cultural orientation and 24/7 support to ensure a smooth transition into remote healthcare.
Requirements:
  • A Certificate III in Dental Assisting (or equivalent).
  • A minimum of 12 months of relevant clinical experience.
  • Current CPR or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Evidence of recent CPD in Hand Hygiene, Infection Control, and Sterilisation / Introduction to reprocessing reusable Medical Devices within the past 12 months.
  • Minimum of 6 months of relevant full-time clinical experience working as a dental assistant within the past 2 years.
