Dental Assistant Role

This is an opportunity to contribute to the provision of treatment to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people in remote Northern Territory communities.

As a dental assistant, you will be working on-site in remote clinics, delivering high-quality care in collaboration with Aboriginal Health Practitioners, General Practitioners, nurses, and support staff. This role requires a culturally safe approach and provides a unique chance to develop your skills in a diverse healthcare setting.

What You Need to Know:
  • A Certificate III in Dental Assisting (or equivalent) is required for this position.
  • You must have a minimum of 12 months of relevant clinical experience.
  • CPR or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is necessary.
  • Evidence of recent professional development in Hand Hygiene, Infection Control, and Sterilisation/Introduction to reprocessing reusable Medical Devices within the past 12 months is required.

By taking on this role, you will be contributing to the delivery of quality healthcare services in remote NT communities. You will also have the chance to immerse yourself in the cultural and natural surroundings of the region.
