Health Information Specialist

The position of Health Information Specialist is a vital role in supporting Australians with their health concerns.

You will provide guidance to callers who are unsure if they should see a doctor or manage their condition at home.

  • Assess symptoms and provide relevant health information.
  • Recommend the appropriate time and place of care.
  • Refer callers to other services such as GP clinics, Urgent Care Centers, and Virtual Emergency Departments.
About This Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled Registered Nurse to work in a dynamic virtual environment.

  • Unrestricted AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse for a minimum of 3 years.
  • At least 3 years of full-time (or equivalent) clinical experience within the last 5 years as a Registered Nurse.
  • A varied nursing background involving substantial public contact.

You will be interacting with external services and serving vulnerable population groups with high rates of mental health issues, limited English proficiency, elderly and poor health literacy.

To succeed in this role, you must be located within Australia and have a high affinity with using computer systems, including telehealth platforms, databases, and digital communication tools.
