Occupational Therapist Role

Are you passionate about helping individuals with life-changing support that can improve their independence, access, development, health and wellbeing, and function? We are seeking an Occupational Therapist to join our supportive team in Tamworth.

This is a great opportunity to be part of a wider multidisciplinary team who support each other's challenges and wins. No two days are ever the same as you might find us in daycare centres, in schools and homes, and even on outreach trips to Gunnedah and surrounds – we love supporting our regional area.

Our Occupational Therapist will provide supports to cover NDIS participants living in various areas including Tamworth, Watsons Creek, Upper Manilla, Gunnedah, Wallabadah & surrounding areas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage an allocated caseload and deliver timely therapeutic services
  • Assess participants' developmental, cognitive, emotional, psychological and physical function and capacity through clinical observations and standardised assessments
  • Interpret findings to formulate treatment goals unique to each participant
  • Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions to help participants enhance their quality of life and meet their goals
  • Mentor and nurture early career clinicians
  • Maintain awareness of current legislation to ensure compliance

Qualifications and Requirements
  • Current registration with AHPRA as a Occupational Therapist
  • A passion for working with vulnerable members of your community
  • A desire to share your knowledge and inspire junior clinicians
  • The ability to work collaboratively with a large multi-d team
