Learning Specialist - Prep Early Years Position

This exciting opportunity exists for a highly skilled and experienced Learning Specialist to join our school community. As a key member, you will play a critical role in shaping the educational experience of our students.

You will work closely with teachers, students, and parents to deliver high-quality teaching and learning programs that cater to the diverse needs of our students. Your expertise will be instrumental in modeling exemplary classroom practice, mentoring and coaching teachers, and providing evidence-based feedback to inform teacher effectiveness and development.

As a Learning Specialist, you will have the chance to contribute to the development of our school's curriculum, instructional strategies, and assessment practices. You will also be involved in leading professional learning communities, facilitating teacher growth, and guiding others to deepen their understanding of how students learn and retain knowledge.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Modeling high-level expertise in teaching and learning practice
  • Leading and implementing whole-school improvement strategies related to curriculum planning and delivery
  • Providing evidence-based feedback to teaching staff to inform their effectiveness and development
  • Supervising and training one or more student teachers and mentoring/coaching teachers

Requirements:

  • Teachers currently registered or eligible for registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching
  • Qualified to teach and/or have demonstrated experience in the curriculum area(s) specified for the position
