Job Title: Leading Education Specialist

A high-impact role in educational leadership is available for an accomplished educator who can drive student success and wellbeing. As a Leading Education Specialist, you will lead the development and implementation of whole-school improvement initiatives related to our strategic plan.

The ideal candidate will possess expert knowledge of relevant curriculum areas and proven ability to lead and manage the teaching of personal and social capabilities across the curriculum.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage the implementation of whole-school improvement strategies related to curriculum planning and delivery.
  • Provide professional development and support to teaching staff within the priorities of the school.
  • Monitor and assess student learning at a class, cohort or whole-school level and use data to inform teaching practice.
  • Support others in using data to inform teaching practice and provide feedback on student learning growth and achievement.

Selection Criteria:

  1. Demonstrated expert knowledge of relevant curriculum areas.
  2. Proven ability to lead and manage the teaching of personal and social capabilities across the curriculum.
  3. Ability to lead the planning and implementation of high-impact teaching strategies that respond to student learning needs.
  4. Capacity to work collaboratively with staff, students, and families to strengthen student engagement and wellbeing.

Who May Apply:

This role is open to teachers currently registered or eligible for registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching and qualified to teach and/or have demonstrated experience in relevant curriculum areas.
