Key responsibilities include:
- Collaborating with the team to develop, implement, and monitor strategic and operational initiatives, projects, and organisational priorities.
- Building and managing relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
- Crafting and refining various communications (emails, reports, submissions, presentations) aligned with Heart Foundation policies and strategy.
- Supporting the coordination and preparation of internal/external meetings, representing the organisation when necessary.
- Contributing to the development of Heart Foundation policy and advocacy from both a national and local perspective.
- Assisting in planning and executing events, including preparing presentations and speeches or managing event logistics.
- Supporting operational and administrative functions within the Northern Territory office.
- Monitoring and tracking budget expenditures for the Population Health & Wellbeing portfolio, ensuring accountability through regular updates and reports.
- Fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation, mentoring teams and supporting cross-functional initiatives.
To succeed in this role, you will need to possess:
- Strong communication skills with the ability to foster collaboration across all organisational levels.
- A background in fields such as public health, social services, business management, advocacy, or public relations.
- Proven skills in administration, project management, and time management.
- Ability to build trust and positive relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.
- Understanding of cardiovascular health and related social, economic, and political factors.
- Sound judgement and agility in solving complex, strategic challenges.
